The International Boogie Woogie Festival Switzerland, one of the world’s most significant boogie woogie and piano blues festivals, takes place from 18th to 20th May 2012 in Lugano. Silvan Zingg, pianist and founder of the festival, invites for the eleventh year running a selection of the best piano players of this genre and world class dancers to perform during three days in Ticino. The festival ensures a first class entertainment with music styles ranging from authentic boogie woogie and piano blues, jazz to rock’n roll.

University of Texas
Silvan Zingg gave in january 2010 a concert and masterclasses for teachers and students at the University of Texas in Brownsville. 100 years ago the Boogie Woogie Style was born in Texas.
2009: “International Boogie Woogie”. Compliments to the Gold Remy Award won at the International Film Festival Houston by the AMRF (American Music Research Foundation). First prize in category Television Documentary! Silvan Zingg performs and gives interview about his career in the documentary.

Silvan played 8 solo piano concerts in different concert halls in 5 cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Zhongshan, Hangzhou). He performed at the official first reception of new swiss ambassador Blaise Godet and at the annual Swiss Cham Ball in Beijing.
